My name is Alessandra, I'm 35 years old. I come from Rome, Italy. There we have many cats in the streets and there are also a lot of women taking care of them. I also had a lot of care of cats in my neighborhood, and since I was born I was very fascinated by them. I adopted my first baby cat in spring 2003. Marte (my little boy) is 14 now, going to be 15 on march 18th. He's wise and intelligent more then many human people, very polite and...speaks a lot :) . One thing I learnt from him, is that a cat, like a child, will grow up developing their unique personality but also following habits and education of the "owner". I've seen cats they are suspicious about people they were grown in houses where they were treated with big suspect because basically people were not trusting them. So, the first thing for me is to establish, sometimes slowly, a deep trust relationship with them, trying to go closer as possible to their language. This is the first thing. I had many experiences of cat and dog sitting and all of them were incredibly beautiful times.
