Katzensitter in Hamburg

I got my cat on January 4th, 1999. Yes, I still clearly remember that date. At the time I was living in Poland, where I grew up, and always dreamed about having a kitten. With her ability to see into the future, my mom refused to get me one knowing who'll end up looking after it. But my beloved aunt (a big cat lover) couldn't turn me down. Curry, as I named our cat, was barely 4 months old when she embarked on a long train ride from Moscow to Warsaw. It was love at first sight and she would join us on many trips to come.

Fast forward, 15 years later she was diagnosed with kidney failure. I remember the day I noticed her limping, out of nowhere. She put up with a strict diet, trip to the seaside during her last summer, and tasteless medicine for an entire year until we acknowledged she was tired with it all. Putting her to sleep was the hardest decision.

My name's Rayna and while I've been living in Hamburg since 2018. I'm a Content Manager & freelance content writer. I love to travel, to read, and to tend my endless plant collection. My partner said I'm not allowed to buy new ones so now I propagate the ones we have.
