Experienced and loving cat lady in the hood

Hi dear community!

My name is Sonia, I’m from Spain but I was adopted by the city of Berlin in 2012. Originally from Andalusia, I studied Fine Arts in Murcia and Salamanca before moving to Berlin to work with an artist. I’m an art professional but took my second Master’s in Cultural Heritage in Cottbus (I know hehe). Currently, I’m paying the bills working as a Team Lead for Quality Assurance and B2B in a well-known sports company. In my free time I do ceramics and analog photography and I dream of the day when I feel the pull to start painting again.

While I grew up with dogs in my village in Andalusia, my auntie had cats which left a beautiful imprint on me. Later on in Salamanca, I shared apartment with a gorgeous rescue cat, Yuki.

After spending 5 years in my current apartment and having found stability, I decided to welcome my dear cat Minerva in the house. Two years later, the bubbly Persephone (or Poppy) joined us. I love my cats to the moon and back and I believe cats deserve all the fuss. The ancient Egyptians were smart people and that’s why they adored and divinised them. There’s not a single day when I look at them and feel infinite fascination.

I’m a very sensitive person with a good sense for animals. I’m used to sensitive cats as well since I live with two sphynx cats. I’m someone who connects easily with animals, and cats trust me. Furthermore, I’ve built a reputation in my building for taking excellent care of the cats and plants of the neighbours, this is why I hold the keys of three of my neighbours and they always rely on me when they need a catsitter. I like talking to cats and I believe they understand the language of love and care. I can administer medication. I’m someone detail oriented, so I’ll keep their specific requirements in mind.

I speak German, English, Spanish and I’m also fluent in meowsch.
