Reliable and experienced cat-parent/-sitter/-lover!

Hi!

I'm new here, but have over two years of experience house- and pet-sitting for cats and dogs of all ages and personalities via Trusted Housesitters.

I’ve lived with cats for 25+ years and I've been living in Friedenau for the last 3 years with my partner and our adopted cat, Cinny. I'm originally from the UK and I work here as an editor while studying part-time for my master's degree. I’ve been a pet sitter through Trusted Housesitters since 2022 and I’ve had a great experience meeting new people and pets, which I'd now love to do on a local level.

A little about me: I'm 28, a morning person, non-smoker, vegetarian, big-time reader, and part-time runner. I love bookstores, antique furniture, and learning new things, currently: piano and Portuguese (und immer noch Deutsch). Ich kann Deutsch (B2-Niveau) sprechen, aber antworte und tippe schneller auf Englisch.

I value open, clear communication and I’m happy to give any reassurance needed throughout your trip that your pets are content and enjoying their own staycation. I'm experienced with cats of all ages and temperaments, and I appreciate that it takes time and respect to build trust with each individual animal.

Depending on what your cat(s) need (alongside feeding, cleaning up the litter box, and checking in on them and the house), I can be there for cuddles, playing with toys or a laser pointer, or simply just there to read my book and keep them company.

Every cat is different, that's why I like to meet in person beforehand to discuss your pet's needs, habits, and any quirks that they (or your home) may have. I can also be there to water plants, collect post, or sign for a parcel :)
