Hello! I’m Dora, a Master’s student currently living in Nuremberg. In March 2025, I moved here from China together with my beloved cat Mimi. Mimi was once an abandoned stray whom I took in when I was 13 years old. Since then, he has brought so much love and joy into my life.

I have a deep passion for cats and years of hands-on experience in caring for them. Even before I met Mimi, I was actively involved in stray cat rescue work — providing medical care, food, fundraising, and helping many cats (both healthy and injured) find their forever homes. This is one of the achievements I am most proud of.

I know that every cat is different — shy and sensitive cats need a very different approach compared to outgoing, confident ones.

I take great pride in being responsible and patient. A funny story: while studying at Durham University, I once helped a dog owner who mistakenly contacted me through my cat sitting profile. The dog was deeply fearful of strangers and tried to chase me out on the first day. But over the seven days, I earned its trust and made sure it felt safe and cared for. This experience reminded me again that defensive behaviours often come from fear, not aggression.

I am also knowledgeable about cat health and well-being, and I always pay attention to signs of illness — for example, knowing how to tell if vomiting is just hairballs or a sign of something more serious.

I love spending as much time as possible with your cat, as long as this does not make them feel nervous. I really enjoy petting, grooming, and playing with cats using toys.

Cleanliness is important to me. I will always try to leave your home as tidy as it was when you left, so you can come back to a happy cat and a clean space.
